About Owen
As long as Owen can remember, he has been surrounded by creativity. Throughout his childhood, Owen spent a lot of time with his Father & Uncles who were talented Musicians, Welders, Metal Fabricators, Electricians, Plasterers, Landscapers, Carpenters...AND GOOD COOKS! Needless to say, Owen would surely one day follow in the footsteps of his mentors.
Born and raised in Santa Barbara County, Owen developed a love for his community and for the building trades at a young age. Santa Barbara is a special place, with the Ocean & ChannelIslands, year-round beach weather, mountains, and luscious landscape, Owen spent most of his childhood outdoors building forts, surfing, fishing, snorkeling, hiking, and playing the guitar.
At the age of 15, Owen started to intern for his uncles over summer vacations and was taught by the good work ethic and respect for authority and others. By the age of 18, Owen landed his first full-time job with a builder and developed a passion for the building industry and working with his hands. Through several years of full-time employment in the construction industry, and the lessons he learned from his uncles at a young age, Owen achieved the knowledge and experience to manage crews, bring people together through leadership, and ultimately, start his own business. By this time, Owen had married another Santa Barbara native and had 2 beautiful children, That’s when Finley Construction Inc. was born.
In 2005, Owen Got his General Building Contractor’s license, and started a small operation out of his Santa Barbara home which was founded on 3 core values, Integrity, Professionalism, and master craftsmanship.
Finley Constriction Inc. has grown into a thriving business over the years and a proud staple in our local building and development community. From the small operation that started in 2005, to what is considered now to be one of Santa Barbara’s top Building Professionals, Finley Construction Inc. will provide you with the best building experience one can offer.
